Welcome to one of my last posts for 2018. This year has brought many great times and opportunities, and also some struggles along the way. I found a love for blogging and fashion, and I can't wait to further that in 2019, as I adventure out of my comfort zone and try new things. So with that, I wanted to share a few of my goals and resolutions for the upcoming year!
1) Get on that fitness grind.
-Okay, the classic resolution that everyone says and mostly fails at. Well, I hope to change that in the New Year and workout at least 2 times a week. I don't work on Mondays or on the weekends, so I want to hold myself accountable to workout at least 2 of those 3 days.
2) Put more time and effort into blogging.
-I'd love to focus more time and energy into building my platform and reaching more people in 2019. A dream of mine is to be accepted into the Like To Know It program and to be able to qualify for that, I need to write more posts and post more frequently on my Instagram. I want to include more people of all kinds on my account this upcoming year, and show more of what I love most: lifestyle, beauty, and fashion!
3) Shut off my phone more and live in the moment.
-I am a guilty culprit of living on my phone more than I should, so in this next year, I want to put it down and do more things that really matter with my friends and family. This includes: playing more with my dog, watching a movie with the family, or going randomly to take my brother out for icecream, all of which you should try to make the most out of 2019!
4) Be more organized/declutter.
-I would say I am a fairly organized person as school goes, but I want to be more organized in other aspects of my life. I want to deep clean old clothes, delete some of my 2,000 emails that are most likely all junk, and better keep track of upcoming dates for school and in general, which are just a few of the tasks I want to complete.
5) Volunteer weekly.
-I have just started with a new program at the end of this year volunteering with teens that have disabilities in the KC area. I have only had the chance to go for 2 weeks, and I loved every minute of it. I hope to continue with this organization in 2019 every week, and hopefully find another steady volunteer job to do additionally!
6) Break my bad habit (GET SOME SLEEP).
-One of my worse habits is going to bed wayy to late, especially on the weekends. I tend to go to bed around 2 or 3 on the weekends, which totally wrecks my sleep schedule for the week. My sweet grandma always says that "beauty sleep" is important, and I need to better take her word for it;)
7) Donate more.
-I need to get rid of the old to make room for the new. The best way to do that is to donate to people who would love it just like once did! I have lots of items (clothes and makeup) that would be perfect to donate to girls my age who might want it, so that's a first priority on my list!
8) Take more time to pamper myself/Be more confident.
-The best way to destress for me is to do a face mask and relax with a show. In 2019, I want to do this more often, even during the school week, to calm down and focus on the positive instead of being anxious and getting more stress pimples (um the worse kind lol). I want to also be more confident in my own person and give myself more credit, instead of putting myself down over small mistakes!
9) Meet more people & revisit the old.
-I'd love to meet more friends in 2019 and re-find those I've disconnected from in prior years. I think it's very important to find your people and while I've found a few true friends, I'd love to get out of my comfort zone and meet even more!
10) last but not least: Go on more adventures (TRAVEL)!
-The thing I'm most excited for is to travel in the New Year! I have an amazing trip planned for NEW YORK in March with my highschool choir and I am beyond pumped! 4 days in the city with my best friends, and I couldn't be happier! I also get to go to Dallas in May to watch my cousin graduate (YAYAY) and hopefully travel more in the summer with my family (crossing my fingers).
I hope you all have an amazing New Years and that 2019 is your best year yet!! I can't wait for all my new content and for how my blog will progress over the course over this next year!
Thanks for all your support in 2018...
All my love,
