MY MAKEUP ROUTINE

WELCOME to my newest post- my makeup routine!!
I am super excited to share this requested post, and hopefully it will answer some of your questions I've received about my makeup in my DMS! This post will be pictures of each product I use everyday (when I wear makeup) with a description of how I like it, and how I use it. I can also do a more in-depth video or post on my eyeshadow or face makeup if anyone wants (because that is often the most requested part)!
I used to love watching YouTube videos on makeup and favorite products when I was younger, so some of these products I have found from influencers I've watched throughout the years. I do want to state that I really just use the products my own way, and I'm for sure not a beauty guru by any means. I have used basically the same makeup for years, at least since middle school, and I have repurchased most of them many times, so it's safe to say I LOVE THEM!
1) SKIN CARE
MOISTURIZER-
First off in my routine, I always start by moisturizing my face with my favorite Mary Kay Clearproof Moisturizer (LAST PIC) which I have used and re-purchased probably 10 times (It's the only brand I use on my face for skincare)!
PRIMER-
Next, I use my Becca Backlight Priming Filter (SECOND PIC), and while it is very pricy for a primer, it never breaks out my face, helps keep my makeup on, and gives me a nice glow to my face. Another primer I use occasionally is the Benefit Porefessional Primer which I use in my oily zone (also known as the T-zone, for those who watched beauty gurus like me haha) and I love how it works on pores and the matte look it gives!
I apply all of these products with just my hands, the easiest way!
2) FACE MAKEUP
FOUNDATION-
Foundation is one of my favorite parts of my makeup, besides contour & mascara! I love how it transforms your look and this foundation is the ONLY ONE I will ever truly buy over and over again! This Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless (SECOND PIC) has been my only foundation I have ever loved and never betrayed (dramatic yes, but I LOVE it that much lol). I have purchased the Fenty foundation and Nars, but always have gone back to my beloved. This bottle is quite dirty, which I guess shows how much I use it!! I apply it with an IT Cosmetics foundation brush or my Real Techniques sponge and it goes on beautifully.
CONCEALER-
3rd Image- The Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (THIRD PIC) is by far my favorite ever as well! This is my second bottle, and I will continue to re-buy it. This is one of my purchases that was inspired by many beauty YouTubers, many years ago, and I will tell you- if you buy this, you will love it! I use it under my eyes and on any pimples I may have, and it for sure covers it all up. I also apply this with my sponge and it works great. Check it out whether you use makeup often or not!
POWDER-
Last/4th Image- My face powder that I have used since 6th grade is the Rimmel Stay Matte (LAST PIC). I haven't explored any other options, besides MAC in like 8th grade, but it broke me out:( I like how this powder helps set my makeup & I use it even when I just have concealer on. When using it, I just brush it all over my face with a big powder brush from BeautyCounter and it works just how I need it to!
3) BLUSH/CONTOUR/HIGHLIGHT
BLUSH-
I use the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Seduce, and I love how it compliments my olive-ish skin tone (well in the summer haha). I love to use it year-round and it is the most beautiful rosy nude color. They have a variety of colors to choose from, but this one was my pick! When applying this, I use my Sephora Collection blush brush and put it on the "apples" of my cheeks (another YouTube tip).
CONTOUR-
My second favorite part is CONTOUR/BRONZER! I love how it changes how your face looks (minimally of course) and it accents your cheekbones and natural features. I've had the Kat Von D Shade & Light Palette for a while now, and always go back to it! The other option I sometimes use is the Tarte Tarteist Contour Palette and it's also great. As you can see in the KVD one, I use the left and middle shade in combination with the Kat Von D contour brush which you can buy separately. If you want a tutorial of this, I will for sure do one!
HIGHLIGHTER-
My favorite highlighter ever is the Becca Champagne Pop powder (LEFT and MIDDLE) which lasts on your cheeks forever and gives the nicest shimmer. The highlighter looks good on literally every skin tone, and I've had this exact compact for 3 years now so it for sure lasts! It is a pricy product but it's worth it! I also love the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey (LAST PIC) and it has tons of color and very similar to Becca. Both are amazing! I apply my highlighter to the top of my cheekbones with a Real Techniques Basic Contour brush (it's orange), but I love how small it is and gets the product where I want it!
I decided to make a separate post with the brow, eye, and lip products I use daily, since I want to go more in depth with my eyeshadow and do a step by step walk-through! ALSO, please DM me if you would prefer a video tutorial of the eyeshadow or foundation for more explanation!
